You buy some strawberry brothers just to see whether you still like the taste and find out you do and it's all gone

Oh well-back to the shops tomorrow

When you get the camping gear all packed and ready in front of the telly, try out the beers in the cool boxes to see if you can fit them all in. Keep checking your tickets to make SURE they actually exist.

And its still over a fortnight to go.

... you spend hours on You Tube and I-Tunes researching bands you don't know, just to see if you might consider going to see them

... you dig out all that rubbish stuff that you only use for Glasto (eg cheap watch, crappy old phone, etc) to see if it will do another Festival.

... you try but fail to find that list of things you lost/broke/needed but didn't take/took but didn't need, etc that you compiled last year.

All of the above! Glad I'm not the only one! Also looking at Clashfinder every half hour and changing the bands I want to see! Huge gap Sunday afternoon so will be doing the myspace/lastfm thing to research 'em all!! Eeeee!! Slight problem -I've got a room to decorate and a daughter to retrieve from uni before I can get all the camping stuff out of the loft!! Bought some cider boxes though! Anyone like cocktails?? M + S have tinned cocktails 10% proof - 3 for a fiver at the moment! Mojito is particularly delicious!

You have windmills, wind sox and bubble wands and the kids are NOT allowed to touch them.
You also have skittles, strawberry lace, black jack, fox's glacier mints, murray mint and sour apple flavoured vodka in your fridge!

Phoned See this morning, my tickets haven't even left them yet

Should "maybe" be with me some time this week, by 10th June, he said, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! They've had them "in stock" on the tracker for nearly 2 weeks now and this leaves no margin for any error with delivery. Oh well, keep calm and carry on

ON THE PLUS SIDE, alcohol is mostly purchased but I must look into those M&S cocktails, sounds interesting! Except for food I think we're just about sorted

Snap! I tend to wake early anyway but now I've got Glasto to start thinking about and planning for, I'm really struggling to get back to sleep.

I bought some bubble wands yesterday at the supermarket.

I am going to start writing lists this week. I may up the ante this year by doing them on spreadsheets rather than having bits of paper everywhere.

It's time to start collecting empty water bottles to decant all my lovely Pimms and vodka into.

I have brought my "Glasto" bag in from the utility room. It's a Morrison's bag for life that has all my various dressing up bits and bobs. Mask, wands, wigs, gloves, costume jewellery etc.

But most of all, you know it's nearly time for Glastonbury when it's literally all you think about, morning, noon and night. I am making so many f**k ups at work at the moment and I reckon it's for this reason.

Whilst cycling up a very steep hill on Friday, every time I got to the next target (which is how I get up hills, by breaking them up into manageable chunks, i.e. just get to the next lamppost etc) I shouted "Glastonbury"

Spreadsheets huh? Serious stuff, but I like.

I've got as far as getting my clothes bag out and starting to think about what I want to take (I actually went through last years photos to check what I took) and Mr Nelly is threatening to sort the trolley out this week.

17 sleeps!

It's not just me then?? Lou, there's someone else here doing a spreadsheet!

I did one last year, using the full and complete line-up that was put on the Glastonbury website a week or so before the festival. It ran to a staggering 1,478 rows - that's a lot of acts! It included a full clashfinding timeline and had a function that filtered the bands you wanted to see. It ran to 22 pages and was almost completely useless! As an experiment I PDFed it last night and put it on dropbox to see if I can read it on my phone. Still useless!

I desperately need to get out more...

...or when you spend quite a lot of time on google maps trying to find the sneaky little route you took last year "un intentionally" and managed to hope past a few of the queues you heard were building up on the a37...

also when you argue with fellow glasto goer as to wether the annual little chef stop is in podham or winchester???

you become increasingly interested in long range weather forecasts on differing sites, convincing yourself that the good ones are the ones to rely on, and the bad ones....well they cant tell that far in advance can they?
