Morrisons have special offers on at the moment £11 for a 70cl bottle! I bring a bottle of Vodka and a bottle of Gin and then a crate of cider and a crate of Beer. Thats enough to be carrying!

And Morrisons are doing specials on the beers and ciders too, they have Brothers Strawberry and Pear in the list for those!

Very nice stuff plus when the bag is empty, hey presto you have an inflatable pillow.
Anyone know if you can freeze cider? Or is that a no as its gassy?

Spot on stinky. My personal bugbear is people brushing their teeth with the taps full on & not letting anyone else near until they're finished. Fill a bottle, move away from the tap until your done people!

On a less grumpy note; 4 weeks today till we start the 7 hour drive to Glasto 2011....woo, & indeed, hoo!!!

It was 3.50 for a smifnoff ice last year. Even the mixers are expensive 2 quid for a bottle of coke! We take multi packs of cans with us and as much beer/spirits as we can carry. Tbh we only really buy drinks from the brothers bar on the thursday. The rest of the time we drink our own.

I found a place in germany doing bags of vodka in the same style of the bag/boxes of wine. I plan to order a couple of the weekend. 3 litres a go, anyone wants the link just say.

I can't take anything that big on wheels.. going by train..

Just to pick up on an earlier thread, according to the Glastoearth website "there's encouraging news that there will now be two more phone charging tents - one near the meeting point, and another in Lower Mead towards the John Peel Stage."

yes,

rather than having a huge 'chill & charge' in holts they have split it up and they are as stated above.

But we still do charging at info points, but you need your charger and there are a limited number of free power sockets.

Hopefully having three chill n charge tents will reduce the queues. It was a little ridiculous at times last year. I ended up paying one of the people on the stalls to charge my phone lol.

What I do with phones is get a old brick phone, fully charge it and get a spare battery just in case. One battery on a old phone eg Nokia 3310 on full charge can last anything up to a couple of weeks, i keep mine on and use it quite regualy and have had on for about 10 days, so a mere 5 days at glasto is no problem Seeing the queue outside it every year puts a smile on my lil' face knowing that i'll be fine for the duration!!

Also as the phone I take is only about a tenner loosing it will only make the festival a bit harder to manage and not the price of replacing a 100quid + iPhone/blackberry

I really don't see the need for phones at Glastonbury. I'm with the people I want to be with, if we get lost we meet at the tent, we managed for several years without them. Or is that just me being middle aged?

Being 19, the parents do like a check in at least once. Just a text to let them know I'm still all good

Also we've got someone arriving on Friday who we need to meet up with and show her where the tent is, without a phone I would have no idea how we would do that considering we don't even know what time train she'll be getting until the day!

Of course, parents. It must be quite worrying for them seeing it all going on in the papers/TV so can understand the need to check in.
