Very helpful people helping with bags

Hello,

I have been to Glastonbury a few times, and once a very helpful gentleman, Steve and his son appeared from know where with a bike and a trailor and helped me with my very heavy bags to my campsite. He probably saved my Glasto experience that year. Does anyone know where these guys come from? It would be brilliant if you could book them! Does anyone know if they are festival goers like the rest of us and trying to make a wee buck or two? I think it is a great service and was so greatful of Steve that year (legend)!

It's a service which is offered at a number of festivals although not officially at Glastonbury. You do get a few entrepreneurial individuals doing it off their own backs though. A friend of mine uses one of the 4-wheel garden trolleys to lug his gear so when he had finished with it his kids used it to earn themselves a bit of pocket money carting other people's stuff. They came back to camp with £50 in their pockets after just a couple of hour's work.

I remember seeing lots of people offering wheelbarrow taxis for luggage last year. Sure its a god send for some people. Not sure where they appeared from though.

I wish I could find one of these kind souls, I'd pay to not feel like an asthmatic by the time I get through the gate!
