I checked the site like a nutter yeasterday, like every 5 minutes. No tickets for sale!!! No offence meant but your style of writing appear to be a far too juvenile for someone to have more than one daughter old enough to attend Glasto.

Good on you if you have but I've got my doubts that any of this is real! I've been around the block far too long

Nice to meet you too!

Tickets were on sale yesterday, I know several people who purchased them as well seeing the purchase page for myself. You can check other Glasto forums and Twitter if you are still in doubt about their availability yesterday/

If you had as you clamed checked the page every 5 minutes you would have seen this for yourself!

As for her age, you really shouldn't be so quick to judge!

About the age, it was meant to be a compliment and nothing else. Sorry to have given the wrong impression!!! That's why I put a few smilies....

I did check, very often, but no joy! You appear to be rather angry at my comment. Was it really that offensive? Other people have question the validity of it all, have they not?

by for now

The impression I got from your post was that you thought everyone was bullshitting about the tickets and that crazybird79 wasn't what she claimed to be.

No one was questioning the validity of it, because those who were around at the time could see that tickets were available, it was people who hadn't registered who were having problems buying them.

Not angry, just clarifying some points.

Anyway, no harm done, welcome to the forum

Hi and thanks for getting back to me. Just to clarify, I meant that people did question the validity of it generally and not directly related to her post (I did not even know she was a woman until you pointed it out). People have questioned the validity of the claim that there are tickets out for sale at the mo...some in recent posts I have read in this forum

It's all fun, nothing is meant to be malicious!

Again, thanks for getting back to me.

x

Maybe sogno needs to check out how he accesses the booking page because certainly quite a few people over 3 Glasto boards I look at bought tickets on Monday. Are you looking at cached pages maybe songo?

Speaking as one considerably more geriatric than crazybird I can totally understand her whoops and yeahs given that she'd just secured a ticket on a resale. Even the elderly can be over the moon!!

Lianne,

You are taking this far too seriously! Your style of writing is kind of young but that does not have to be a bad thing.

Sorry to have offended you. Hope you and your daughters have a fab time at the festival.

Have a good evening

Hi Prue,

Thank you for your reply. I have the following as my home page: www.seetickets.com/g2010/ and i check it all the time. Is this the correct web page?

Hey, I am 10 years older than crazybird and still get over the moon about lots of stuff but the older I get the less I get upset, infact I seem to be enjoying myself more and stress much less... Lets just leave it here, it's really no important, no harm done

Thanks for replying x

That's the right page but i was meaning something more technical and heaven knows I'm very un-techy so I'm sure someone vastly more knowlegeable will correct me.

But could you be re-loading a page that's been stored on your computer and hence is out of date? It just seems very wierd that you got the sold-out page when others could get tickets . . and something you need to fix!!!

That's about the sum of my thoughts on this :dim:
But good luck with your ticket mission.

As Prue said, It is possible that you were looking at a cached version of the page. The page could have been cached by either your browser or ISP to save bandwidth. Also, f you look at the timing of the posts made during the period they were available, it was about lunch time. Is it possible that you were just unlucky with the timing and out to lunch when it happened?

There are various things you can do to bypass a cache problem if you have one. This Wikipedia page lists them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bypass_your_cache The page is about viewing Wikipedia itself, but the techniques they describe apply to any website.

Default ticket chances
hi i am quite new to this forum stuff. i think this is 1st forum message i have ever sent lol. anyway i have been trying to get glasto tickets since the initial release and i have kept up with all the tweets, got the glasto ticket banner and checked this forum multiple times, day and night. but i was wondering if there is any likelyhood more tickets will be released anytime soon from cancelations apart from in feb. i missed the last batch of tickets released last week because i had lectures till 6 and i am so devastated that i missed out on the 2 hour or so window. i know this sounds like a rant but i REALLY WANNA GO. thanks.

p.s love the work you guys have been doing, looks like a lot of ppl have benefitted. (glastowatch)

Hi, it's impossible to say for sure when See will release more tickets, them and GFL never announce these things, though I believe it's quite likely that more will be released before the Feb 28 deadline.

This post was also made last week claiming more tickets will be made available this week. We will have to wait and see on that one.

When they are made available, someone will inevitably post about it on this forum, and if I'm about, I'll post it on Twitter.

One tip for knowing when tickets go on sale is to search Twitter for "Glastonbury OR Glasto" http://twitter.com/#search?q=glastonbury%20OR%20glasto. This works better when using an app such as Tweedeck as it'll automatically display all Glasto related tweets as they happen. Someone somewhere will tweet about it within minutes if not seconds of their availability.

Paid for mine last Monday (26-Oct) by debit card and money taken out of the bank on Tuesday. I spoke to See to check I had provided the correct card details and they said all was OK and would take around 24 hours, which it did.

Suggest you give See a call and check status of your order.
When I phoned up they did confirm my order and said that if there was any problem with the payment they would phone me. So, if your order is OK on the tracker you should be alright but worth a call to them to check.
