Default Taking gas into glastonbury
Hi

I am taking a camping gas stove into glastonbury and I have also got a nifty portable gas camping fridge. I know you can take normal disposable gas cylinders in, but i want to take in a small camping gas cylinder in with me, the Calor 4.5kg type bottle (small enough to fit in a rucksack), Its the smallest one and is used in campervans etc.

I just want to make sure i dont get hassled taking it in at the gate.

Can anyone confirm if it will be ok, seems taking your own gas in is ok but i cant get confirmation on cylinders?

Thanks

Craig

Thought this was going to be a post about Nitrous oxide lol!

You should be fine taking in bigger refillable gas bottles, after all they're re-usable!

Gas fridges are pretty pricey. Are you sure you want to leave that unguarded in your tent?

I got a cracking deal and only paid £50 for it, but they are worth about £170 new so im ok to take the risk. No one will know its there except my group of mates and the fresh cold beer all day without paying nearly £4 a pop will pay for its self.

Nobody except the scumbag who has a good root around in your tent while you're off enjoying yourself. I had mine done over as recently as 2008. Personally I wouldn't take the risk, but there again I tend to stick to cider at festivals because it's perfectly drinkable warm.
