Default Taking 7 month old baby in motorhome east campsite
Hello

We are having a slight panic attack seeing that we are 3 weeks away from taking our 7 month old baby and are looking for any tips/advice in
general regarding "on-site with a 7 month old baby" and "what facilities are available on the east campervan site"?

Some example questions are below but any advice is welcomed
  • Is drinking water available at taps?
  • Are BBQs allowed in the campervan sites?
  • Are you allowed to run the engine to charge battery or is it easy to take it off site for a drive to charge the battery (we have hired a motorhome)?
  • Is there a designated family campervan field?
  • Does the east campervan site overlook the glastonbury site?
thanks

Hi

Cant answer all your questions but I'll give my opinion on most of them. East campervan space is quite a few fields / areas. The ones closest to the hill overlook the site - and quite a view it is too especially at dusk as the sun goes down and at night with all the lights. Beware the hill down to the entrance is quite steep ! Not sure about any family bits - certainly wasn't aware of any last year. Yes there is water available. We started the engine a couple of times to charge our phones. Got a feeling its a no for bbq's but not 100%. And the one you didn't ask - not available OR in any state to babysit while you party ! Have a good one. Look out for the Tyne Bridge flag on my motor home and if you see it (anyone) come and have a Glasto hug :-)

Thanks very much for the info and quick reply, i'll keep a look out for the flag! We are planning to get there on tuesday so hopefully will get a good spot, although i've read your previous threads and it sounds like turning up early doesn't guarantee anything!!

Yes, ended up in it by mistake one year - it's generally quieter in the small hours heading back to the 'van and way noisier first thing in the morning!

When you arrive, they'll ask you if you want the Family CV field or not and direct you accordingly - or alternatively just switch off and follow the 'van in front. *ahem*

Snap a dee snap! We are heading to Glastonbury with our 7 month old this year, 2010.. same as you, and we've acquired the motorhome also! Very excited and a little nervous with a young one, but she's going to love it! Thanks for the big questions and thanks for the answers... We'll be looking out for you and exchanging hugs for sure! Not long to go!! see you soon!!
