Default Take That 8/1 to headline Glastonbury 2011
Ladies of a certain age might be excited about the prospect of Take That headlining, but I doubt many heterosexual men will be very impressed if they do.

Quote:
3/1 Take That To Be Christmas Number 1 2010
EVS To Appear On The X-Factor 2010
2/1 To Win A Brit Award Next Year
12/1 All 5 Members To Star In A Movie
5/1 Shame To Break All Time Uk Download Sales
33/1 Shame To Break Record Number Of Consecutive Weeks At Number 1
8/1 Take That To Headline Glastonbury Next Year
10/1 Take That To Play Knebworth
10/1 Robbie Williams To Leave Band Before End Of Year

The News of the World claims that U2, Take That and Radiohead will headline next year.

If the NOTW says it, it must be true!

meh, I like Robbie, being a Stokie but Take That ... the wife will be happy. I will take the boy and find something else. U2 ... yawn, Radiohead - worth checking out. It is only because I went this year I totally can see why 'headliners' are fairly unimportant. Gives me more of an opportunity to check out the less 'popular' acts.

I'd be OVER THE MOON if U2 and Radiohead headlined next year... Take That would be great as that would be the perfect night to go to visit something completely different and next year I HAVE to have an all-night-to-morning session up at the stone circle!

Didn't the daily paper at Glasto this year have Eavis saying that 2 of the headliners for 2011 were returning and one was a solo female? Or did I completely miss-read that?

Yeah I read that too. Thought the rumours were the 2 returning acts Coldplay (YES! that would make my day) and Radiohead with Kylie being the solo female.

Coldplay are awful as a headline act.

I went to see them the last time they headlined on Saturday night, stayed for 25 minutes and made a swift exit.

Talk about boring, it reminded me of being at home on a Sunday afternoon reading the papers with a bit of background music on.

Headliners are supposed to rock the house down, not send you to sleep

Got to agree with you here. The highlight of the set was Martin's quip about Crazy Frog

I hope they arent headlining. So many better acts that could be playing. Though I suppose I'm being biased in that I dont like them, and Glastonbury is all about entertainment for everyone. If they are headlining it will provide the opportunity to see a lesser well known act.
In reality I'm saying all this now, but no doubt I'll be pretty intoxicated and singing along to them, wondering how it all happened
