I think anywhere would be luxury after 5 nights of sleeping at Glasters. Have a look at some of the reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_R...t_England.html

Agreed, you'd be mad to leave on Sunday night. Some of the best acts I've seen have been the last act at Pyramid on Sunday night.

I've never understood all those people who are in a desperate hurry to get away either Sunday night or the wee hours of Monday morning. Chill the f**k out and stay a bit! You've spent ridiculous amounts of money getting there and enjoying yourself, why the big hurry to get away?! First year I went my friend announced she hadn't taken the Tuesday off work so wanted to leave at 5am on Monday morning. Not a chance and since I was only one of two drivers.. well let's just say we didn't leave at 5am! Last year we got up late, had a leisurely breakfast, cleaned the van and chilled out enjoying the sunshine until things had calmed down a bit. Took an hour or so getting out of the site and it was plain sailing after that.

Sunday night doesn't start until after the last act on the Pyramid Stage finishes.

There is NO reason to leave anytime on sunday/monday morning before about 6 no matter what (apart from death, major injury or arrest [ but bribes can work for that last one ]) !!! We was camped next to some guys who had their final uni exam at LSE on the monday morning at 10 and they ended up staying up with us as we stumbled back from shangri la at bout 5 ish and left at about 6.30, surprisingly they got amazing results on their exams so their doing the same this year

Sunday night after the headliners are off is always a great night as you want to soak up every last bit of glasto time for the next 2 years!! We make it a must that we stay out till we can't physically find any more beer/music/any thing else to be enjoyed as you'll be waiting a hell of a long time before you will be back in them somerset fields!!!

I had to leave Sunday night last year (didn't want to) as I can't get Monday off. Got home at 3 after swigging red bull all the way home! Good job it's only 1 1/2 hours drive! Same again this year but with the knowledge that I am going camping for a week with 50 year 6 kids at 9.30 am!! Aargh!

I'll be asleep before any of them, after the noise and fun of Glasto nothing will wake me up! (They're always up at 4 on the first night!/morning!)

As I'm far too 'tired' after the festival to drive I dont have a choice about when we set off, but its normally early hours of monday morning. The beauty of this and being in a motorhome is that while 2 of the party share driving thru the night, the others continue the party for a while then sleep all the way. Woke up last year at half 9 as we pulled up outside my door in Newcastle. Got some food in and watched Glasto highlights all day and night. Perfect.

Well Beyonce (WTF!) has put paid to good last act this year so it'll be QOTSA then follow the fun!

We've got a 7 hour drive home so last year we chilled out on the Monday til about 2ish. Got out the car park & back to the M5 easily. Even got home in time for a pint at the pub . Why leave in the morning just to sit in a queue?
