Default Searching for a steward to say thanks to.
Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to get in touch with one of the stewards that was working in a particular area of the festival? On the Friday afternoon while in The Park I had a funny turn and a lovely steward called Graham helped me out. I wasn't able to make it back up to the Park before the festival ended to properly thank him, but would love to pass on my thanks if I can (if not, will just wait til 2013 and try and track him down). For the life of me I can't remember which agency he said he worked though, and I appreciate how much of a stab in the dark this is, but his kindness and help really made a huge part of my Glastonbury.

I've had a look around to see which charities / agencies "provided" stewards, and my next step is to contact them independently, but if anyone here can help, that would be awesome. I'm well aware that this may be like finding a needle in a haystack!

Cheers,

deb.

Hi deb,
This probably isn't a great deal of help but you could contact Glastonbury Festivals Limited and ask for the Steward Co-ordinator, a guy named Martin Casey. He should be able to give you the name and contact details of the Area Co-ordinator for the stewards in The Park who in turn may be able to point you in the right direction. Martin may also have an Incident Form for you (it's just a steward's record of any significant events, nothing sinister!) which could also help to track Graham down.

I work as a Steward Supervisor in Dance Village so I'll also ask my Area Co-ordinator if he knows the Area Co-ordinator for The Park but I think that's unlikely.

Finally, I'm glad you were ok after Graham's help; it's always good to hear about stewards doing a good job. A warning though. If you do track Graham down, be prepared to meet him at every Glasto from now on - I helped someone in 2008 and she's insisted on getting together for hugs and too much cider together every year since.

Hi Twisted,

Thank for your reply! Following it up, and we'll see what happens.

And in my opinion one good deed deserves another, be it too much cider or cups of chai - we all help each other out.

Thanks again,

deb
