The best bet is clearly to stick to this forum like glue and keep the Resale Watchtower >>
http://glasto.biz/ticketresale.html<< up on your PC 24/7.
I've also taken GlastoWatch's invaluable list of Twitter accounts to follow >>
http://forum.glastowatch.co.uk/glast...wing-t114.html<< and added every single one (I wasn't even on Twitter a few days ago).
I'm not sure if they're going to need to create any leaks so to speak; this time last year they still had oodles of tickets left and would've needed to create a bit of stir but they're obviously doing a fair job of offloading tickets this year so I'm not sure they'd need to 'work the media' like that.
God knows who makes the decision on the resale dates; we can't even seem to get a definitive answer as to whether we've got to wait until Feb 2010 or not, let alone know who's weilding the axe.
Seetickets are unlikely to restrict ticket sales to just the phone or the internet, as this will create undue stress on one or the other. It's going to be more logical to spread the load.
Seetickets are more than likely to know what the plans are as they're sole distributors; however, whether they're willing to disclose more than what's already said in their automated message is unknown/unlikely. I was originally going to barrage them with calls each day in hope that they'd get to know my voice and cave in to me, but I've since decided against this (although that's subject to change...).
I imagine Michael Eavis has Emily's number.

Get your Twitter on with her @emilyeavis and see if she replies to anybody else; everybody's going to be asking the same thing right now aren't they?
It's got to be true that the 1,000's of duplicates went out; GlastoWatch heard this from a reliable source and if you think about how many people would've been sat there trying to book tickets whilst their girlfriend or best mate or enslaved bondage gimp was sat at another computer trying to book tickets for the same group of people, it's likely that quite a few would've slipped through at the same time. Add to this the issues with the confirmation emails and the sheer volume of people trying to get tickets at the same time, it's only natural that some orders could've gone a bit wayward and wound up duplicated thus affecting the reliability of the 'remaining ticket' figures they would've been working (or selling) by.
Registration is re-opening as it's well known that orders will be cancelled over the coming months and that some of the people that have laid down deposits won't come good for various reasons, thus freeing up more tickets. Look at the publicity that the Glastonbury line-up always gets; if everybody who decides over the coming months that they want to go only gets a week before the due date in Feb 2010 to register, Seetickets will get squashed by the registering-rush; if they open it up on Monday they'll be giving people the next 4-and-a-bit months to register thus eliminating the risk of a mid-Feb 2010 bottleneck. As another ticket-hunting-hopeful, I'd like to think that the registration will coincide with another release of tickets, but who knows! I read somewhere that all transactions from last Sunday that didn't go through due to the buyer having insufficient funds/or for whatever reason would be cancelled (and I quote) "over the next 5 days"... This would give them the weekend to tot-up all the available tickets, ready for a Monday release..? But that's just me speculating, so
do not quote me on that..!!
Your best bet is to stick around here and just keep 'em peeled!
I was hoping we'd get a decent group of us together on this thread to share wisdom and information, giving us all a stronger chance of succeeding together.
United we stand, divided we'll be going to V-Festival instead.
Welcome to the ranks of the hopeful!
