Nice Idea for a thread! Wonder if GlastoWatch can maybe incorporate something like this in the profile/bio settings????
1. Where are you from? Lake District originally, Midlands for a too long, very short spell in Stroud, couple of years in Brizzle, now in Bournemouth for the last few years
2. What job do you do? As little as possible! Website stuff, various web based tech support type stuff - Have done a number of other things, but that would be a long list on it's own!
3. How many times have you been to glasto? As a ticket holder, 3 times I think. As a 'fence jumper' (back in the days when it was possible) 3 or 4 times I think, as a volunteer (free entry, cushy camping, but need to do a little work too) think about 7 times this I think will be my 8th. As a trader once (great way to do the fest, but was a big tax write-off tho!)
4. Favorite type of music? Mixed bag, from Johnny Cash to Kylie Minogue. Will list a couple of my fave fest bands - Alabama 3, Levellers (early 2000's), Iggy Pop, James Brown, Funkadelic are just some that have floated my boat. Though if was asked fave form of entertainment available at Glasto, as there is so much more than just the music, I'd have to say 'People Watching'.
5. Favorite band/artist? Changes far too much, but currently Johnny Cash & Iggy Pop
6. Favorite film? Life of Brian - and many bank heist movies (44 minutes, Stander, Inside Man, etc, etc)
7. Favorite book? Hitchhikers Trilogy - Culture Novels by Iain Banks (though am a voracious reader, and will read almost anything except chick-lit)
8. Favorite drink? Cider (made from apples, and without gas!), Single Malt Whisky
9. Other hobbies? VW's (in particular my VW T4 Camper), Photography (still learning to take good pics with my DSLR), Surfing the web
10. Twitter or Facebook? Both, tho can be quite selective over who I connect with, or just plain ignorant! If I don't follow/friend back, drop me a line
Apologies for abusing the 2 answers only rule And if anyone can prod GlastoWatch to add these or similair questions to the profile settings....

Thought I'd answered this ages agio, but clearly not[*]....
1. Where are you from? Northern Ireland to start with, Edinburgh, Leeds, Edinburgh (I'm ignoring commuting to London for a couple of years)
2. What job do you do? IT - federated access management
3. How many times have you been to glasto? Six - twice with my daughter in 1999/2000, then working 2007/8, and with a friend in 2009/10.
4. Favorite type of music? I'm pretty ignorant, musically, but you're more likely to find me lsitening to somethiong reggae/ska-ish
5. Favorite band/artist? Too many to chose from (see also above)
6. Favorite film? Not sure I've got one at the moment, but I'm going through a bit of a Powell and Pressburger patch....
7. Favorite book? How to choose? There're so many. I do tend to the SF/fantasy side of things, but that doesn't really allow for van Wettering's Amsterdam Cops series or Patrick O'Brian's sea stories
8. Favorite drink? Beers (wheatbeer or cask ales), ciders, wines, spirits... Can I just put "yes"?
9. Other hobbies? For the pre-festival season, Edinburgh's Beltane Fire Society; post-festival season, sleeping!
10. Twitter or Facebook? yes.[*](And you'd be perfectly within your rights to say I still hadn't answered this)!

1. Where are you from? London
2. What job do you do? Accounts work - Credit Controll
3. How many times have you been to glasto? 3 times, 2011 being my 4th year!! It gets better each year, although 2009 has been my fav by far.
4. Favorite type of music? - I really like any music as long as I can dance to it. I am random with my choices though from Bruce Springsteen to Fat Boy Slim and Christy Moore to Bloc Party. I really likethe fact that I can see so many different artists at Glasto and I end up loving them all once I have spent a little time listening and trying to "dance".
5. Favorite band/artist? - Old (Bruce Springsteen) new (Adele) - this changes reguarly though depending on my mood. I can never pick 1 or 2 solid favourites!
6. Favorite film? - The Town, love it!
7. Favorite book? - Breaking Dawn,
8. Favorite drink? - Champagne Bellini or any cocktail. Then vodka and any mixer and then fruity cider!
9. Other hobbies? - Reading, socialising, travelling, Zumba
10. Twitter or Facebook? Facebook
