Questions about Tipi's

Hi Everyone,

My wife hits 40 in July, as a surprise, I'm thinking of staying in a tipi at this years festival (as long as we get tickets in the re-sale).
We will be travelling with another couple.
I have a couple of questions;
1, What are the chances of getting a tipi once the re-sale has started, will they not be sold out already?
2, Being without kids while away for the 1st time in ages and the party atmosphere will obviously lead to the innevitable, if you know warra mean Do the Tipi's have compartments inside or just one big open space?

Was 40 myself last April and me and my husband and two other couples (another 40th b/day girl as well ) splashed out/stayed in a Tipi last year.

They can not be booked until the same time as the tickets got to be paid, so I doubt they will be sold out by the time the resale happens.

It is just one big space, but it was ample for us 6, we had narrow campbeds and still room for the big rucksacks and about 1.5m square in the middle. However some of the Tipis are a bit smaller depending on how many of you stay in there.

We loved it there, beautiful view, the solar showers not to busy mid afternoon, lovely camp fire lit in middle of field with chance to meet lovely neighbours. Would love to stay again this year, but can't really afford it - at least we were lucky enough to get tickets

I am looking for a tipi because they are sold out-sold out within 4 hours on the first payment day-does anyone have any suggestions about a tipi if it says sold out now?

There are 6 of us and now some of our group are reluctant to go if we cannot get one.

I have checked the companies that provide for the festival but it all routes back to the Glasto website sadly.

Does anyone know the story with checking into a tipi ? Our flight gets in about 10.30 pm on thursday so we will be cutting it very fine to get there by midnight . Do they open early in the morning or will there be any way to check in around 1am ?

Its not like the hilton hotel where you got to reception and book in , there open 24hrs show ya ticket for the tipi and in ya go..simples..no waiters,no bag boys, no room service just rabbits and badgers running round on the grass...bit like alice in wonderland.lol
