Thumbs up Pulp to play Glasto 2010?
There's been rumours for a while that Pulp may play Glasto next year, now people.co.uk have printed this

Quote:
Good news for Pulp fans – JARVIS COCKER has hinted the band might reform for next year’s Glastonbury. The singer let slip they could be heading for the mud in June, saying: “Glastonbury means an awful lot to me, I would love to play there again. We’ve talked about it, there we go, there’ll be a band reunion.”

If any band deserves to be given a decent slot from the last 40 years it has to be Pulp, there performance in 95 was fantastic even the more militant pissed of Roses fans where bouncing along by the end.

Slightly OT, but this pic of Jarvis with his Mini-me is too good not to share.

No need for a paternity test there.

NME and others are saying that Pulp are reforming, but Teletext say the opposite.

Quote:
Pulp deny reunion rumours
Pulp will definitely not be reforming, PS can reveal.

Newspapers have made the claim for the last two weeks.

But Jarvis Cocker told PS: "I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together. Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."

6 Music have just said that they spoke to Jarvis yesterday and he claims he didn't say what has been attributed to him, however they won't rule out a Glasto appearance. 6 Music news will have more details later.

Default No Pulp!!!
It's not looking good!

Speaking to the Guardian, the Pulp singer said that he could "categorically" state that "Pulp have no plans to get back together. Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp re-form' story. It's not true."

Richard Hawley doesn't seem very impressed by all the speculation.

as i said mmmmmmmmmmmm i knew it was bullshit as i spoke to Jarv about this very subject as there have been so many rumours going round,i also spoke to Candida in Dublin after the gig.......now i am NOT saying Pulp will never get back together BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL EITHER.

But one thing i do know that the next two years at least are well busy for many of the band members so take from that what you will, fuck wits beware no one is saying the band are getting back together from this statement so go and find your nasty cheap little stories somewhere else drives me insane
Source

I guess that's a no then

This rumour just won't die.

Quote:
Jarvis Cocker says Pulp could reform soon.
The 'Disco 2000' singer said he was prompted to consider a reunion of the iconic Britpop band after mistaken reports they would reform to play Glastonbury.
He said: "I got asked about Glastonbury and someone said, 'Would I like to play there again?' I said 'Yes' but I think people interpreted that as, 'I would like Pulp to play Glastonbury again.' "
"I suppose it made me think a little bit. The fact that people did seem interested, that made me think about it a little bit more."

"People asked me about it a lot recently because there was some misunderstanding, and because the Glastonbury 40th anniversary is coming up," Cocker explained. "It's flattering that people are still bothered, but it isn't really at the forefront of my mind to do that."
This is from a video interview.
