Default Positive feedback needed please.
The lovely couple, Neil and Lea who run the http://www.pilton.com/pilton/goingtoglast2011.htm website sent me this email.

Hi Stinky !!! DURING GLASTO 2011 there were one or two dissenting voices from the village, complaining about noise etc.In order to try to balance out the negative comments...please send any positive feedback via the following link http://www.pilton.com/pilton/contact.htm and we will ensure that Michael Eavis receives it in person. Thanks for your help! Neil & Lea PS. If you know anyone else that might like to comment, please let them know !

Please can we all send them the feedback they require.

I do wonder why they addressed it to Stinky though...I'm sure the emails I sent have been from Kelli
Love it though, I seem to get called stinky more than my real name these days.

I haven't seen anything official yet as the report to MDC doesn't usually come out for a couple of months but I'm actually not altogether surprised if the number of complaints about offsite noise went up this year, especially on the Sunday night when the wind dropped and changed direction. My partner Lisa was in the West Campervan Fields and reckoned she could hear the Prodigy's "Invaders Must Die" from the Arcadia show clear as a bell and that's a good mile away. Hope the council don't go getting all draconian again as a result.

Local people do get a free ticket for sundays, but I imagine it's not everybody's cup of tea.
I think the increase in family's is because of the amazing weather conditions in 2010 and the increased publicity for the festivals 40th.

Just to correct a few things..

Pilton Villagers get free tickets for the whole weekend should they wish to have them. Also applies to villages/hamlet directly on the boundary of the festival (Pylle, Sticklinch, Steanbow etc).

Sunday tickets are NOT free. They are £70 and only available to people within a 20 mile radius.

Sunday used to be free entry but that was knocked on the head ages back when the licensing/and numbers issues were tightened up.

Corrections over

There were a lot of families around this year. We had one lot camped next to us who had the Mums come in on Wednesday doing the tent pitching followed by sitting and drinking and the Dads followed on Thursday/Friday afternoon with the kids. Wonder who got the best deal there?

I'd say pitching a tent is a fair exchange for a break from the kids
