Red face Pedestrian Gate E - CLOSEST CAR PARK?
Looking to camp in "The Park" this year - and have already worked out pedestrian gate E is the closest - but can anyone help with which is the closest car park?

Coming from Bristol so went straight down A37 last year - but having researched a little I may need to take a different route?

Can anyone help? All I need to know is which colour route to follow!

Help pleeeeease!

PGE if for the use of the west camper van people, your nearet gete to the park is PGD.

You need to go to the west of site, red route.

Yea, from Shepton and A303 ways but you will have to queue with those wanting the Blue Route to get past.

Better to go down A39 and head in from Glastonbury town

I think Hash4Cash is right, pedestrian gate E is for access from the camper van carparks, which are shown on the following link in green and labelled as W62 and W61

http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u...map6june11.jpg

If you want to access the Park easily you are probably best heading for pedestrian gate D - that is what I am going to try and do (also coming from same direction)
last year came through gate A and it was quite a trek to the park or pennard hill, especially in the heat

hope that helps - Ive been 4 times previously! cant wait

[this is the info I found on a site glastoearth.com FAQs

"There are five pedestrian gates dotted around the fence and these are open 24 hours a day from 8am on the Wednesday morning. Gate A in the north-west corner predominantly serves the festival bus station. Gate B is mainly used as a pedestrian access from Pilton village and the staff car parks and camp sites to the north-east. Gate C provides access from the majority of the eastern (blue) car parks and campervan fields and Gate D for most of the (red) car parks to the west. Gate E was a new addition in 2010 and is specifically for the use of people who are staying in the new campervan fields to the west of the site."]
