Default parking permit onsite?? panicking!
Hi!

I'm panicking as I missed the carpark permit deadline. I know there was another post on the same lines but can someone reassure me that you can get a permit onsite?? There is absolutely nothing on the official website saying you can!

Still don't have my ticket either! boo!

it depends what you mean by parking permit?

If you mean the one for punter to get into the carparks, then that can be baught from the stewards at the carpark entrances.

If you mean the type that allows you to park within the fence then you need to talk to your boss.

Yizz, if you look at this: http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u...tGuidemono.pdf it says you won't get near the festival without a parking ticket. They are being sold on Ebay (extortionate prices!)

I see further down people are saying you can pay when you arrive tho!

I'm in the same boat - no ticket and didn't know about parking passes. According to glastofest on twitter you can pay on the gate. Official website is rubbish and unhelpful!

They have claimed for years that ' you won't get near the festival without a parking ticket ' but I used to not display a Crew parking entry permit until 1/2 mile from Pilton just in case jokers would be tempted to break in { assuming wrongly that would be their entry passport to Glasto } although I do admit that 50% of the time I used to arrive the day before the public gates are open and I was never stopped in any year

As long as you can show you have tickets { make sure they are real Police/Security as you never know what cons are going the rounds } then any road block will allow you though as all they are trying to discourage is the non ticket holders.

I cant personally say I have ever bought one but I do know they are available for a standard fee.

It's just scaremongering on GFL's part in order to stop chancers pitching up in the carparks without tickets. My carpark ticket didn't turn up a few years ago and I paid for another one on the gate no problems. It wasn't such a big deal then as they were only a fiver. Last year they actually stated on the website you could buy one on the gate with a £5 additional charge, although this only happened a few days before the festival.

Think about it sensibly, if people can't park in the carparks they'd probably end up abandoning their cars in the fields and lanes around the site & you can imagine the dim view the police & council would take if that were to happen.
