http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u...map6june11.jpg

quick look at it shows to me the property lock-up positions have changed a bit! Had mentioned in a previous thread that there was some in the glade area & M market area that have gone off this map, also appears to be a lot more detail in the area of the G stage and spirit of 71 area. Not sure if the previous map highlighted the entry route to lost vagueness, but this does.

Walk from Gate A - Gate B!!! That's a bit of a stroll even without carrying any stuff! There isn't even a really direct route, and also quite a hill to climb towards the end too, and in reverse it's not a lot of fun either!

the entry route to lost vagueness was there before in the May map.
I have a copy at http://www.wbc-team.co.uk/fineguide-2011-copye.jpg
and the first one this year at http://www.wbc-team.co.uk/2011-large...on-glasto.html

---------

Yes I know it sounds nuts - its some guy who thought he could hire a golf buggy and I quote
' I read on some of the "glamping sites" that they had buggies that nipped people around. It was Festival Village that told me this, so don't know how reliable that information was.

they are camping in Tangerine Fields but they are arriving by Coach .
I have been up front with him as I would not even attempt it.
Don't know when he plans to arrive but if he picks the wrong time he is going to find it heavy going.

God knows why they need to carry much stuff - if I did not have to take my camping gear I would just carry a small light bag.
--------
I bought a new ' cheap ' Self Inflating Mat for £ 13 http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers...uys3_19225.htm
but its well thicker than my old mat - in fact the packed size of it is the same size as my Vango alpha 400 so its going to be touch and go if I take the new mat with me - the old one { which I have used for years } has a tendency to try and self inflate on its own.

Anyway when you add in tent - mat and sleeping bag it fills up a large shopping trolley - may look daft but it does the job.

Just read that, tho not got my e-fests login details on this laptop and can't be a*****! The 'glamping' sites I think he's referring to are those of the likes of camp karela and the luxury off site camping, not sure if this is what tangerine fields is but the golf buggies they run are usually based just outside Gate C (for camp karela anyway) and only run between the gate and campsite. Might be some occassions where they may run these right thru to the backstage area, for the A list celebs staying up there, but I suspect that this is far from the norm as they'd have to fight there way through the most pedestrianised parts of the festival and going would be tough, and probably not permitted during certain times. If his mom has problems with mobility they should really be looking a getting into disabled camping as at least this is reasonably central to the festival!

tangerine fields is a up market premium camp site { such as Myhab } so I reckon they have spent out a fair bit - a Hammock Tent for example is £1,1000

I reckon they have booked it and then thought how do we get there rather than working that out firs
t
going by the main site ' Registration To Use the Disabled Facilities has now closed ' so that is a non starter '

Yes I admit I have a cruel streak - You can just imagine what his Mother is going to do when she twigs she has to cross nearly the whole site .

you can just imagine the headline ' Son battered to death by aged Mother '

Sorry but you just have to laugh.

His best bit is to contact tangerine fields and ask for some transport.

Nah, it's more of a Selbyville idea.
