Talking Need buddies for Glasto 2011 (i'll be popping my Glasto cherry!)
Heya everybody! Im new to this forum and going to be a first timer at Glastonbury this year!

When i booked it, it was with my bf, his aunty and some of her friends (they go every year) but i've recently split with my bf, so all plans kinda went down the drain! We've said we will still go together, as at the moment we are being really civil with each other, but i don't know what will happen between now and June!

So i thought it would be a good idea to find some buddies to be on the safe side! I would prefer people to be between the ages of 18-30 male and female, im 20 myself (will be 21 on the 27th June, hence why i wanna have such a good time at Glasto

It will be my first time EVER at Glastonbury, im so excited - but could also use all the helpful tips and advice anybody has to offer

thanks alot for reading this, please comment - would really appreciate it!

Hi Laura, welcome
There's a group of like minded folk on a facebook page which is running in parallel with this forum, there's all sorts of ages on there so you will have no problem meeting people. some of us (umm) arent quite in your age range but speaking for myself i act like a big kid when out of work so dont let the old farts scare you off
Glastowatch/chat solo meet up!!! is the facebook site, i think the organiser may be off line for a few days so if you do send a request to join it may take a day or two to get answered.
I hope things stay civil with your ex, its so much easier that way!

That's one side of our flag (sorry it's so dark). I'm gonna make the other side in a few weeks, which will have Space Invaders on it

Haha, sorry! Pacman and Space Invaders was the first decent idea we had, and we all agreed so stuck with it

Also lots of people on here were talking about buying flags specially printed, which cost ridiculous amounts! After spending around £10 in fabric shop, and a couple of evenings at home working on it, that's the outcome so far. It's only bondawebbed on so far, but it'll be sewn on in no time. Will make the space invaders side on a seperate sheet of black fabric, sew the two together and bam, got a flag Who needs to fork out on a flag, when all it takes is some material and a bit of hard work?!
