Leeds Festival

I'm a regular Leeds goer, but please don't tar me with that old brush, I'm a peace loving hippy type and I love going to Leeds to see as many bands as I can in one weekend, especially those who don't tour the UK very often, if at all.

Highlights from this year for me were Faith No More's awesome set, Soul Savers with Mark Lanegan, and the fabulous Prodigy.

I haven't been to Leeds before so I can't comment, though I did hear that Poo Girl was the highlight this year.

that really made me laugh out loud,

we have never been to Leeds but we live close by so maybe one day as we could get a bus home each evening

Went to Leeds once and never again. I never felt safe in the campsite and didn't really like the layout. Must admit spent most of the time in the Bacardi bar doing Salsa and getting very very drunk. I was there the first year the portaloos were set on fire and stupid yobs throwing tents on it to make it bigger. Even though Reading is turning into the same thing I would rather go there if I ever went again. Closer and the layout is much better.

Also no flags and now allegedly no campfires !!!!!

You must have gone to the Temple Newsam site did you? Things are loads better now, I've seen it improve over the last 5 years and the sunday nights aren't half as bad as they used to be.

2001 so yeah, Temple Newsam. I thought so when you said portaloos cos Bramham Park afaik has only ever had long drops in the campsite

Im not sure leeds really deserves the rep it has among many. It may be more boisterous than glasto for example but peeps are there just to have a good time like at glasto. Ive never felt unsafe there.
