Last minute panic over directions to Campervan East, advice needed?

Having sudden doubts over my planned route to get to Campervan East on Tuesday

We are staying in Devizes for 2 nights and will therefore already be on the A361. Would we be better to go back on ourselves slightly and pick up the A303 and then west to the A37 or carry on along the A361 and turn left down the A37 at Shepton Mallet (which appears to be the more direct route). The blue route shows only the A303/A37 combination and I wondered if there is a reason for this (i.e I've googled the roads and Shepton Mallet looks like it could be a bit tricky with a fairly big caravan!!). Or maybe there is a one way system in operation!! Any campervan/caravan folk out there who would normally come from a slightly north easterly direction have any advice??

I go through Devizes on my way to there too.. I'd keep to the A361, but there are some reasonably steep hills, which is possibly why the suggested route is the 303.

I did read that on the GF website but it doesn't say whether it goes red or blue route...Hence my question...

It's blue route. Basically they encourage everybody coming from the east (i.e. London) to head for the Eastern carparks to prevent clogging up the A361 through Pilton.
