Default Info from food traders please !
Just a couple of questions regarding the wholesalers on site. I'm gonna guess that their prices have a premium on top. My burger buns are £5 from bookers. How much are they on site ? Also tomatoes, lettuce etc. Any info would be great ! Hoping to trade in 2011.

Are there even wholesalers on site? The folk at the stall I spent most time at (that wasn't a bar) - the pancake, coffee and fruit juice place at the Park - seemed to have brought their own stuff in, and occasionally talked about going off-site to get more.

So I'd guess that either there are no on-site wholesalers or it's not compulsory to use them - but your best bet may well be to go straight to the horse's mouth:

Good luck!

Answering my own question... In:

http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u.../27Trading.pdf

It says:

Quote:
The level of trade is so high that caterers are constantly needing further supplies, be it bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, calor gas, frozen chips or soft drinks. To meet that need a wholesale market operates with articulated lorries ferrying in bulk essential supplies in the early hours of the morning. These goods then have to be distributed around the site before there is too much pedestrian traffic around the site.
