Default Green Traveller
I know details of the Green Traveller scheme aren't available yet, but does anyone know if it applies to any public transport, not just coaches booked through SeeTickets? I've just booked my own through National Express which seems to be a good deal. If it's all public transport I take it you just show your ticket at the gate to get a Green Traveller pass? Thanks.

It does seem to be quite general though, surely if they meant only official buses they would be more specific? I'm looking forward to getting one as I'm doing train/bus to get there.

Hi,
I bought my ticket (in the re-sale....phew!!!) and a National Express ticket separately and had a bit of a panic on that I may not get the Green Traveller benefits as I hadn't booked an 'official coach and camping' ticket.
I e-mailed the Glasto office to ask if I would still get Green Traveller benefits and how it works. They told me that we would get given the Green lanyards at the Festival Bus Station. Ive never been on coach before, but I would imagine that there is a system for identifying who arrived on coach. I'm guessing you can't get into the bus station area unless you arrive by bus. (Probably worth holding on to the ticket to make sure though...)

I think there is a bus shuttle service from Temple Meads train station. Those buses will go to the Festival bus station too.

So, if you have booked your bus separately, you will still get the Green Traveller lanyard somehow I'm sure all will become clear in the next few weeks...

Travelled down by coach last year for the first time. The festival bus station is next to gate A, the coaches pull off the Glastonbury road and into one of several bays. The whole area is fenced off so I guess you'll get your lanyard as you walk out of the area to join the queue to enter the site.

Can't say the whole travel by coach thing was a good experience, travelled down from Chesterfield and it took hours longer than it would have done by car. Going down by train this year and catching a coach from Bristol so hoping it'll be better
