I think you just need to practice. I still find it a bit tricky sometimes, it definitely takes longer for the wee to come out compared to a normal wee and I don't always feel like I've got everything out but it beats sitting on the long drops any day of the week!

Pleased you go it sorted - one less thing to think about

It seems so, but only for the "green travellers":

Ticket holders who arrive at the Festival by public transport or bicycle will be given a Green Traveller lanyard, offering:

- Vouchers for discounts on main meals
- Solar showers, solely provided for Green Travellers
- Access to compost toilets
- Discount on a Festival T-shirt
Though idk how many there will be nor if they are going to be separated by gender (I doubt it)...

Got my prescription today, phew! Private prescription too so it only cost me £2.25!

That's a nice idea about giving green travellers access to better things. But us non green people will still be able to use the lovely Water Aid toilets at the bottom of the Stone Circle field right? I'd be very upset if not, I plan on having all my poos there if at all possible!

Just like to say I'm a nurse and I've tried loads of different products, She pee, She wee, Whiz, Uri femme etc etc, Doesn't matter what position I'm in or the control of my flow. They just don't work for me, I always get overflow/spillage, and I find them just not practical with trousers.

Short of contemplating catheterizing myself (I know several Medics who have!) I finally found a solution which covers the entire area and catches the wee to be poured out afterwards.

It was by luck from a medical rep that I found it and have used it 100% successfully every time (with Trousers). The downside was that it had to be prescribed but I've looked and the Manufactures sell it off prescription now and also spotted it on Amazon. The other downside is, it is more expensive. Perhaps have a search around the net for best prices.

I only know it as a Medical product 'Female Uri bag'
Manfred Sauer site: http://www.manfredsauer.co.uk/urinals.asp
Amazon: http://amzn.to/m7iXOo
If those links dont work put Manfred sauer uri bag into a search engine.

The site doesn't give great pictures but basically its a plastic mould with a rubber bag and snap lock lid. The bag tucks into the moulded space when not in use. Just take the lid off, loosen your trousers/knickers place it in position with the bag dangling just inside your trouser leg. Pee and let the bag fill up. (its a 1.2 litre bag so you wont fill it right up!) Gently remove out of position and lift up out of trouser leg/front and pour the urine away.

No exposing of bottoms or anything. You can fix the lid back on and it's leak proof so you can carry it discretely in a plastic bag somewhere until you are able to pour the content away. This has been super handy when I've needed a Pee in the night. I just go, then put the lid on and shove it in a plastic bag leave it by my tent door and then take it to a loo in the morning to pour away.

As for the Mooncup - Glasto has fallen at the wrong T.O.T.M for me for the last 4 years! I've taken my mooncup hovered, removed, rinsed with bottled water and replaced. I always carry wipes and handgel with me. Not had a problem yet.
I would advise anyone who has not tried it before to start using it MONTHS before Glasto or any festival to get used to it.

Just in case anyone is thinking I work for the company I don't I just work with people who have disabilities and use this product. It works for them and me!

Hope it's a hassle fee festival. Enjoy

I love my shepee. I use it when the loo is in use lol ( we have a seperate toilet and bathroom)
I have used it in all sorts of states but it does take practice and you have to remember not to hold it too tightly to your body and nature/gravity does the work.

That uribag thing looks a bit dodgy for putting down your trouser leg, if you squeeze it, the wee is just gonna come back out! At least with Travel Johns, the wee is soaked into a gel, meaning you don't get soaked.

I read that there were a few showers for green travellers near the camping for the cyclists which is a bit of a hike from where we plan to camp, I imagine they're like the Greenpeace showers and mixed. Make do and mend I guess. I will just get Mr Nelly to chuck water over me again I think.

Lol Mandypants..... Love that name.

Fair comment it could be a bit dodgy if you filled the 1.2 litre bag more than half and squeezed it. But to be honest I haven't used the Travel Johns and the Uri Bags are used by people who haven't necessarily got great dexterity and they still manage ok.

For me its the 'fit' as it shaped a lot better covers everything with no risk of leakage. And you don't have to put it down your trouser leg you can let it dangle on the outside.

Nice imagery going on here!

I'm keen to give the Travel Johns a go though. :-)

Thanks for the reminder, I was going to give it a try when I got back from Glasters, so will look into it more.

Whilst I'm here, I have to admit that I chickened out of using the shewees in the end, I did march off to the ones by the pyramid stage with the full intention of trying it and I get to the short drops and skulked into those instead, HOWEVER, I now have some time to practise in the comfort of my own home, so I WILL be using it at some point.

mine was a life saver!

i couldnt bare the thought of sitting down, i went prepared shewee in one hand, hand sanitizer in the other, and my scarf wrapped right round my face, haha.

unfortunately she came to an early departure, and we lost each other in a very drunken state on a very cold and wet friday eve.

i was devestated after that i got over my fear and i was ok, as long as i had my scarf to block the fumes! haha

When I told my nephews girlfriend to get practicing she was horrified. After day one of the festival she wouldn't leave her tent without it. And we did here some giggling as she filled a bottle in her tent!

My 12 yr old is a dab hand at it now but I cannot believe some people say I am sick for buying her one at such a young age! Get a grip lol It's a natural bodily function.

How is it sick??? It's only to help her have a pee in awkward situations, it's hardly a sex toy!
