only time we have late night is glastonbury, other than that we struggle to stay up past 10pm and almost always up before 6:30, even on days off lol. old age it must be.

Hope everyone got their tickets-looking at other threads on the net there are a lot of pissed off people.
All different kinds of sites seem to go down today (even this one).

we managed to get 8 tickets and then we managed to get on several more times and ended up supplying 19 people with tickets. Had a lady ring me up and ask if that was glasto ticket hotline lol. obvious reply was yes how many tickets do you want............

There's not a lot SeeTickets can do to alleviate the situation.
They could massively increase their investment in server hardware and infrastructure to cope with 200k+ people hitting their website at the same time, but that extra capacity would be wasted 99% of the time and certainly wouldn't be cheap.
It'd be like a Xmas tree factory buying 100s of lorries to deliver their trees in Nov, and then have them sitting around for the rest of the year collecting dust.

It's the same with this site (as you noticed). I could invest in a larger server, but there are only three days a year when it falls over, ticket day, and the Mon & Tue before Glasto (Unless I post the leaked line-up like I did this year

), so the investment wouldn't be viable unless I plastered the site with gambling and porn ads, which isn't going to happen.

Whatever SeeTickets do, there's more demand than supply, so there will always be some pissed off people.

Cold here in North Devon as well, but sunny!

Soooo looking forward to next year, have started "semi" planning (lucky enough to get tickets - 4 of us going), as I know a bit more what to expect since it was first time last year!

And it doesn't matter how much you reed up on it - until you are there you don't know how great it is!
