If there is anyone (pref from the Derby area) wanting to go on the recycling team this year, I have a friend who wants to go (she did it last year), but the two friends she was going to go with have both dropped out (money & travelling reasons), so she's looking to 'buddy up' with someone (female).
Like most other volunteering teams, 3xShifts over the weekend, deposit refunded after working your shifts, camping in crew area.
Drop me a note and I'll put you in touch.
Al.

hi, does anyone know if the places in the recycling team 2011 have all been filled already? anyone who applied got any response? apart from the registration confirmation email i've only received one newsletter and that was about a month ago.
so no further emails, does that mean my application wasn't succesful or maybe it'll just take more time with the new system? last year i got the response about two weeks after i had sent in my application.
if anyone has some answers would be great! cheers.

Both me and my other half got a message yesterday saying we were successful and shift times and details of how to make payment are going to be sent out later next week. You need to log into the recycling website to see your message. Good luck!

Hey
I'm new to the forum, so I thought this might just be a good place to jump in and ask if anyone else is Litter Picking on their own??
My friend had to cancel so I am now coming along on my own. I know this is probably quite normal and gives me a better chance of meeting peopl, but would be reassured if others could tell me they were also going on their own??
Very excited otherwise as this is my first Glastonbury and couldn't give the opportuniy up!

Hi Caramul, Glasto-worker is the person to help you here, he has a massive amount of info for glasto staff. A very helpful and pleasent guy.
There are a few threads on here for people going solo but not many workers. Have a little read through and if you are not working on thursday at 2pm come and meet us at West Holts.

Don't worry, I've done litter picking on my own for a few years and I've met some very nice singletons on the way. There are quite a lot of single people working at Glasto, so you wont be alone. It's quite social working so I'm sure you will make friends quite easily. Me and my other half are litter picking this year so if your on our team "Early Team B" shifts 6am-12am Thurs to Sun then I'm sure we will bump into each other! Have fun and see you there.

Hey, thanks that's a great reply!! totally reassured me. I'm getting used to the idea now anyway so i'm more excited than nervous.
I'm on the Pyramid Stage team, so i'm working Friday until Monday, but you never know we could cross paths. Otherwise, hope you have another great festival

Hi Guys,
I've been to Glasto 3 times now and am fairly sure I will be going every year god willing. I'm always rather depressed at the state of the place and complete lack of respect so many people show (it doesn't take much to put your waste in the bins, I seem to manage this even when I am rather wasted myself lol) so would like to at least do my bit and help with the big clear up after the festival only I have no idea about how to go about volunteering for it.
Where do I start?
Thanks.
