Thumbs up Glastonbury Fayre film
This sounds like a great project. You can help fund a film about the Glastonbury Fayre in 1971.

Quote:
This film tells the stranger than fiction story behind the first Glastonbury Fair of 1971. It follows the journey of the original festival organiser Andrew Kerr, through the wild chain of events which brought music, art, theatre, poetry, and naked dancing to a small Somerset village called Pilton.

well spotted - I have the originol documentry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glastonbury_Fayre

it was because of that documentary why I started going in 1979 { there was no official events held between 1971 and 1979 although some people showed up in 1978 { estimated 500 people }

I still have my ticket from 1979 - it cost £5 - Peter Gabriel, Steve Hillage, Alex Harvey Band now that was a line up.

Each year I have wondered will it be the last - came very close just before the super fence was put up as I know Michael thru my connections with the WBC and he was being serious so never expected for Glasto to be still here.

By the way people might like to see Glastonbury Man - Michael Eavis & history of Glastonbury Festival documentary from 2000

its not my find { its thanks to BlackHole2006 on a rival board } but I do have it on vhs as I recorded it from BBC2.
