V Festival looks set to be the gig of the year
WHAT do Chipmunk, Eminem, Dizzee Rascal, N-Dubz and Plan B all have in common? Well, aside from being rappers (some in the loosest sense of the word – N-Dubz, I’m talking about you), all five are headlining this summer’s V Festival.
With Rihanna, Jessie J, The Wanted and Kaiser Chiefs all confirmed, the Virgin-sponsored two-day extravaganza looks like THE gig of the year.
Glasto: you have been warned.

Wow, I always thought the Mirror was full of s**te.
Now I KNOW it is!
N-Dubz, Chipmunk and Jessie J? I'd rather hack my balls off with a rusted knitting needle and shove them in my ears than listen to any of them.

Haha what an awful line up! The only one on that whole list I would be interested in watching would be the Kaiser's.

well the only one id be bothered in seeing is Dizzie, but thats only because ive seen him do a couple of good gigs at Glastonbury, (one of those who i walked passed when they were onstage and thought: 'ooh thats better than i thought')
I am glad we can now cross them off the roumer lists.

Dizzee Rascal is actually brilliant live, I'd happily see him again.
But the rest?

Yes Dizzee in the sun, at the pyramid, eating vodka jelly- two years of a bonkers (!) performance! As for the rest -pah! I know it sounds bizarre but would love to see McFly there!! If you have never seen them (I only have because I work at an concert hall) they are a really entertaining, sunny afternoon band! Can play and sing very well too.

And let us not forget, bands aside, that V Festival is the single worst festival out there! Overcrowded, lousy facilities (not enough toilets, virtually no bins, endless queues for the bars), staggeringly commercialised, unfriendly staff... I could go on (ask Lou, she's heard all this before!). Nothing short of Led Zeppelin jamming with Hendrix would get me back there!
Yup, I'll stick with Worthy Farm I think!

Sounds like i have had 2 lucky escapes, both times i have bought V tickest i have been unable to go!
Reading get's my vote for the worst festival, its my local one so i've been twice as i can get home in a few minutes but it sucks big time, i hate the place and the people, will never go there again - well maybe to see 1 super star or group and that would be at a push! Sorry to any Reading fans out there

I too went to that V fest as my 1st ever festival!! ...From entering the arena on Saturday morning I hated it and drove home after the pogues on the Sunday night ..Made a vow that I would never ever ever go to another festival again ..That was until my cousin begged and pleaded with me to go to Glastonbury .....I went under protest and loved every single breathing breath I took .....I look back and laugh at that pathetic weekend they call V fest
