Catching the Pyramids of Snafu at the Mandala stage, a cuppa in the Tiny Tea tent, doing a venue per day that I've never caught an act at before, finding food I've never had before....
Love the idea of tucking a last bifta into the tent before packing it.... bounty bonus when you finish pitching it next time...

Whats with the 40 year olds? I was 40 two months after last years Glasto. Didn't act my bloody age tho & I intend to regress this year also!!
As for tradition there was a big gap between the twice i've been, ('95 being my first time but I can't remember much of that at all ) but one of many things I love about Glasto is the ability to have a fire at night with a wee glass (or two) of the vino rouge with the lovely Mrs.
P.S. What's the badge thing?

did a Glasto shop this morning. Came back with lots of things I probably don't need, and wont use, but it's re-assuring anyway

Am doing a shop this weekend.
Also, I've 'procured' stuff like gaffa tape, marker pens etc. from work.
Have also got a 90kg capacity fishing trolley of the bay of E!!!! Will help with the slabs of beer, stove, and useless items.

I have a box of " very useful things" that goes to every Glasto with me, and is addded to throughout the year. The box and old drill case, clearly marked "VUT's" contains many bits and bobs acquired and added to over the years. It incldes things like paperclips, superglue, string, bits of rubber, plastic stuff, srews, bolts, wingnuts, twine, metal bits, washers etc etc etc. It is the cause of much p##s taking and amusement by my friends, but it has come to the rescue on many occassions , saving peoples, tents, chairs, bags, rucksacks, even an exhaust on one journey to glasto. Wouldn't go to Glasto without it

How organised! Where are you camping? You could start a little business up there.
We ordered our wine/cider/wipes last night. Ooo my tummy just did a little flip!

Yep, every year I think: right! raincoat, hoodie, 2 t-shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, enough socks / pants and a pair of wellies. that's all I need (plus tent, airbed and sleeping bag). So why do my rucksacks (notice the plural!) end up so full and heavy?

I remember my first Glastonbury. We were camped in the East Campervan fields. It was about 4am and we had just walked the wall of death - I stopped to catch my breath, turned round and OH MY GOD (goosebumps even now) - I have NEVER seen such a wonderful sight in my life! It truly was a magical moment
Cuppa tea at the Tiny Tea Tent. Stonebaked pizza from 3 down from the tea tent, some therapy in the healing fields and a blanket from the market - not the old Joe Bananas blankets but a really nice (not cheap) blanket - different colour every time - I have a fine collection
Oh and given that Glasto ALWAYS falls on my mums bday and she's been looking after our 3 yr old whilst we're away - I like to go on a hunt for a pressy with a difference

i thaught it might be 'bum', and with the poor spelling of 'cum', would make it very rude.

Interesting take on it but can see what you mean now . Best I double check things before I send, going to get myself in sorts of trouble.
Thanks, roll on next week.

Double checking is over rated. I didn't get where I am today by double checking before getting myself in all sorts of trouble!
Perhaps I should have tried that...
