Hi
I am stewarding at glasto this year for a private security firm, does any one know if car parking is permitted in the stewards secure campsite

you firm will be allocated a parking area, you need to talk to your employer

Unlikely as tents & cars together are classed as a bit of a fire risk! Depending on firm and camping area cars may be one end of field and tents the other, but that only likely if yr camp is outside the ring of steel.

They should send you the details - there is various crew car parks so be sure you have the right paperwork as it saves a lot of hassle - when I have arrived early its not been a hassle but the WBC has been working at Glastonbury nearly thirty years so most know the name.

If your lucky your crew car park may be very close to your campsite but with no specific details its impossible to say where you will be camping .

Depends on the company, to be honest. Some companies explicitly tell people they'll need to sort their own parking, others stay schtumm. Your best bet is to contact the company directly.

(When I stewarded in 2007/8, nearly all of us had come by train or coach - the few folk with cars in or near the crew camping area were permanent staff of the company: I think we were actually told there was no parking space available at the crew sitre)

Also, depending where you are camped, and when you're arriving it may, just may, be possible to drive into the camping field and unload before taking your car to the crew car park you're allocated. Tho depends very much on the company you're working for as you will need passes sorted for access, especially if your crew camping area is within the ring of steel.
There are a huge number of private stewarding companies involved, some will be treating their staff well, and everything will be well communicated in advance, others will treat you like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed on ****).

Hope you're working for a good one! Some I have heard will be expecting staff to steward the car parks and not actually handing over entry tickets to the festival until the Thursday or Friday morning!
