Question Glasto Lockups - Good or bad service ?
Hi, we have just got home after another fantastic week in Somerset working in a Property LockUp.

I have just setup a Facebook group (search GLOG) which i am hoping will show the powers that be how invaluable the Property Lockup service is at Glastonbury.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Glasto...38439472834440

My partner and I have been working in the Lockups at Glastonbury for many years, and just to confirm we have nothing to do with the setting up of the Lockups or anything official like that. We just turn up, camp with good friends, work our hours, raise a few quid for charity and have a great time with fellow workers and the good, bad and downright bizarre punters.

But this year there seemed a strange vibe around a number of the Lockups, with rumours about the being replaced with a more "corporate" option.

Please pop by and tell your story and help get the message accross to "The Man" ............

Love n Peas
Andy

The lockups are amazing!!

Over the last few years I've been able to take my 'good' cameras and leave them there safely, just getting them out when I feel like. Without the lockups I'd be forced to lug them around (or more likely, leave them behind). This year we were camped up in the family camping area so left our buggy there to save carrying it through the tents each time.

I've always found the staff there to be great too - Despite working hard in what looked like a hot tent, lugging bags around and keeping track of everything the staff were still always friendly and in good spirits. I love the loo roll scupltures that appear at quiet times too

I really hope they're not replaced by some corporate type thing. I really can't see them being able to do anything more efficiently. The current system works really well.

Default re lock ups
I used one for the first time this year, had to though as the huge truck that I bought wouldn't fit in the tent.

Well it would, but i would have had to sleep in it!

So decided the best place for it was the lock up.

Took it over Weds PM and picked it up again midday Monday, fantastic service, no problems just had to keep the reciept safe, not easy when the Brothers was flowing freely!

I think the staff were a little bit dissapointed when I came to get it, as I think they would have liked to borrow it.

All in all a good experiance, will deffo use again next year for the truck. Would they have looked after my keys? I had about three panic attacks when I couldn't find them most mornings.

I think they have envelopes to put small things like keys/phones in.

Yes the LockUps would take care of your keys.

Unfortunately the only thing we are not allowed to recieve is livestock.

Though we had plenty of parents asking the same question, as their little darlings slept in the trollies or buggies they wanted to put into the lockup.
