Two things you need, a map (http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u...-2011-copy.jpg) and this little beauty: http://clashfinder.com/s/g2011/ from our good friends at Clashfinder!

Timings are still very approximate, bands highlighted in red are firm times. Keep checking as the festie get closer as it will change shape as more timings are firmed up.

As for getting from the John Peel Stage to the Other Stage, it doesn't look too bad on a map, but getting away from there last year after Mumford and Sons, through the Dance Village, it was bloody rammed! It took ages to get away - not really helped by my cousin texting me to say, "Thom Yorke's playing on The Park Stage"

But keep checking the Clashfinder, you may have more time than you realise! Plan accordingly and don't let the fact that in 30 years I have failed to fulfill a single plan bother you! (And yes, that includes when there was only one stage! ) Failing to fulfill your plans and discovering other, often better stuff instead is part of why we all keep going back!

Enjoy!

There's always a way ! Get your bearings in terms of where each stage is and make sure you're at the closest side of the field to the direction your heading, or near the back of the John Peel Tent and if you hurry you can get to the Other Stage in 10 mins . Depends how much you really want to see both bands but it can be done. But there will be some points during the weekend where you have got into the Glastonbury way of life and you just go with the flow - dont worry about missing some bands that you'd planned to see because you will come across something else amazing by accident ....

Agree with all the above advice. Also, however you think it's going to take you to get from A to B, double it, minimum. Double it again if it's muddy / raining and again if you're stoned or pissed and once again for every 2 people in your group who are going with you, particularly if they are also pissed or stoned. Personally I try to spend as little time as possible in transit at Glastonbury as I find it quite frustrating but then again sometimes that's when the most fun things happen and you discover the most fun things.

Whatever you do, don't try to arrive or leave Pyramid at peak times, like when a big act is just finishing. I once got stuck in a traffic jam there. I was trying to get there, it seems like every single person at Glastonbury was trying to leave. I literally ended up standing still for something like 20 minutes whilst this sea of people just massed their way around me and I just couldn't move at all. A bit freaky but mostly just frustrating because I was gasping for a drink, smoke and a sit down! Worth it once I got there though. Well, until about two minutes after I'd sat down and poured everyone a proper Pimms and lemonade (complete with ice and fruit) my friend said "right we're off to the Other Stage now". To which I shouted, "no, you're f**king not! It's taken me hours to get here, you can bloody well stay now until I've had a drink and a smoke" !!

Trouble is, you never know the actual timings until you get the printed programme on the gate! My sis heard that Hard Fi are special guesting- they announced it but I think it's at leftfield. I'm wishing for Pulp personally but can't see it happening!

Last year they put the complete timings for the entire festival on the Glastonbury website on 17 June. Don't get excited yet, this link is for LAST YEAR! http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.u...esult_list=140

Hoping they'll do it again this year!

As for the Special Guest slot, it'll be whenever it says in the line-up, which of course won't necessarily be the same time as last year.

A word of advice. If you walk past the entrance to The Park and see someone handing out flyers and you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what that guy - who is the spitting image of the lead singer of Franz Ferdinand - is handing out flyers about..." see if you can work out what's going on some time within the next few hours. If, like, for instance, say, you know... me, you then think you can hear a band in the background a few hours later who sound remarkably like Franz Ferdinand, see what happens when you add 2+2. If, like me, you get 5, you can choose to miss that year's special guest...

Special guest slot at the Park stage is the one part of the festival that this field gets jammed and its gonna take a lot longer to get up there than it normally does. So if u hear who the band is and really want to see them, get up there as fast as u can.
