Forum names
I know some are probably quite obvious, just curious where people get their forum names from.
Mine comes from childhood and still lingers now as a nickname. Not quite sure how my actual name (Helen) and Nelly are linked though

Nelly-Thats spooky-my older sister is called Helen and was also known as Nelly many years ago (going back to the 70's now)..
Vaguely remember being told that Nelly was an old variation of Helen backwards
Mine is very boring-Lived in Stockwell for nearly 30 years and used to watch/follow Arsenal (The Gooners) all over the place. Couldn't think of another name so exstockwellgooner it is...........

Bee is my shortname that hubby has always called me as my name is Bev (yes I know it's not really any shorter but....... ) and when he gets home he always says "hello Mrs", hence MrsBee. Not a very exciting explanation really, lol.
Also, bees are actually rather fascinating, used to be phobic of them, now it's just wasps (although sometimes I do get a little confused until I establish if it's a bee or a wasp!)

I was always called smelly Kelli by my brothers, that evolved to stinky and i'm not sure where the witch bit came from but I have been known as it for years. I am known as stinky in real life to quite a few people, raises a few eyebrows when i'm shouted from across the street!

i only use this name on glasto forums. So how did i come by this name?
It was early 90's cant remember which year but we were camped at the top of pennard hill when it was far less busy and we had some mash potato left over from the previous day and i was hungry, so i made the mash into fingers and fried them on the fire. They were great, and i handed some out to my friends, and one said: "You could sell them... Hash for cash."

Mine's from a domain name I used to use (the domain name itself was from the acronym "all knowledge is contained in fandom" and was going to have been my company name when I first started consulting).

@subtitlesonly is my twitter name also.
I was known by another name on other festival forums (that I don't use anymore) and so wanted something different. When first registering, trying to think of something unique, the TV remote control was in front of me , hence, subtitlesonly simple really

Really boring - mine is just me, although I get called numerous versions of shelley like shelldon, shellbert, or just plain shell.

I'm Louise, so another boring forum name I'm afraid. When I joined last year, I really wanted to post something and my mind went blank trying to think of a name...

Lou signed up first... I sat staring blankly at the screen muttering, "I want to sign up... but I can't think of a name..." And yes, my parents gave me a perfectly good name - not sure if I was trying to at least be a little more original than Lou or if it actually didn't occur to me (entirely possible). I have enough difficulty at work when I have to change my password every six weeks and I sit there for about 10 minutes thinking, "I need a word. A word. Any word will do. Why can't I think of a bloody word?" - imagine my trauma when it came to choosing a user name??
