Smile Food Glorious Festival Food
My food blogging girlfriend has just put together a nifty little guide about some of the best places to eat around the festival. I thought I'd share it here because it might be useful for Glastonbury virgins, or for those who want to try some find some new eateries onsite, here's the link.

It'd also be great to hear other Glastonbury-goer's opinions on where to get the best nosh around the festival, or which ones we should avoid!!

Are there any places we've missed? Or any new foodie hotspots for this year that you've heard about?

Nice blog. Hats off to your lovely girlfriend! Manic Organic gets our vote for their stonking breakfasts...

My Food Rule For Glastonbury is simple: Food quality is inversely proportional to the distance from the Pyramid. The further you get the better the nosh! It's a crude rule of thumb but has some merit. We will, as we do every year, test it thoroughly this year

Have to pay homage to these guys, Le Grand Bouffe in West Holts (for me at least, Lou's a veggie so is somewhat less interested):

We tried a pie stall near west holts stage (next to the jerk chicken stall) you could have it wish mash or mushy peas (happy they catered for us northerners!)

It wasn't the cheapest pie and peas i've had but the pie was awesome!

Big thanks to everyone who's read the guide, my girlfriend is very chuffed that people have found it useful.

We're certainly adding Le Grand Bouffe to out "to eat" list!

She'd probably say Manic Organic, which does an amazing carb-loaded veggie breakfast. My personal favorite stall is Pie-Minster, they serve some seriously good pies and very tasty extras.

Too many to recommend.... just look for stalls that sell more than the basic, regular commodities (burgers, bacon rolls, etc) and you can often find something new, novel and tasty... Glastonbury can almost be as much of a food festival as an performance festival.

A bit late to post for this year, but for me yes it's almost a food festie too! As a veggie I'm spoilt for choice. But as my other half has probably already mentioned somewhere on this forum, a rule of thumb is that the quality of food is in inverse proportion to proximity to the Pyramid. The further away the better generally. For me the best food is in the green fields, but had some decent meals in West Holts and the Park too.

I made it to Pieminster! Well worth the constant nagging to Mr Nelly that I HAD to have a pie from the pie shop next to the Brothers bar in West Holtz. It was scrummysaurus!

Correction, it's Square Pie, but still lush Pieminster works for me too though.
