Cool
you can by lots of flags on-site, attached to a piece of small bamboo, but ive never seen any for sale there.
you can pick up 3-5metre ones for around 10-15 quid of e-bay, telescopic ones, that go down to the size of a large brolly

To borrow a line from another post I did you can also get a telescopic tent pole from http://www.skyblueleisure.co.uk/acat...pic_Poles.html. They also sell blank flags and fabric paints ( http://www.skyblueleisure.co.uk/acat...d_Banners.html) to make your own camp flag! Don't forget the ground spike / anchor though if you're flying it outside your tent. The poles are made from glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) so are very light and durable (so the blurb says).

in days gone by I used to make my own flag pole, became a bit of regular feature on Pennards. It seemed to get bigger every year, peaking at 36ft one year. In the end it's reputation outgrew my enthusiasm.
