Ey up fellow northener Going alone is no problem as everyone is friendly and will talk to anyone!

Now what to expect?? Well its really what not to expect!! Expect to have one of the best weekends of your life in great company listening to great music and just generally having a great time! Expect to make plans of what you want to do but miss them ( as a learned person once said 'time dosn't behave the same inside the fence ) and to do something random and having just as good a time!! Don't expect sun like last year tho so prepare for the rain

When to travel depends on your work commitments but i would strongly advise going as early as possible ie tuesday night to then stay in your car that night and get on site early wednesday morning, this will let you have more time to walk around and take in the whole glastonbury experience and to generally familiarize yourself with the vastness of the whole site.

Where to camp is a personal preference depending on the sorta thing you want to see, the facilities you want near, distance from the gate, the amount of sleep you want to get and the people you want to have around you! Have a look here and read at your will http://forum.glastowatch.co.uk/accom...hlight=camping

Take a look around and most of your questions will be answered

I hope you find this useful Kayleigh. http://www.glastoearth.com/the-faq I've tried to answer all of the questions that commonly pop up from Glastonbury newbies and there's lots of photos to show you exactly what it's all about too.

Be thankful your mate pulled out, this way you'll not get pregnant (although it's no guarantee against STI's)

this is my second time, going with a couple of friends, were from blackpool so a long time traveling by train, were doing the sensible thing at least to get there and going down a day earlier, and staying in taunton, good night out there before heading down to the festival early wednesday, alot easier, than rushing wednesday morning and missing half the day by traveling, so if u decide to go early we will be down in taunton on the tuesday, let us know.

some advice from my first time experience, is don't go off your map as to how long it will take from one area to the other, that map plays with ur mind, when you look at the map it all looks so close to each other, how wrong that is, it is massive, something i cannot explain, you have to see, so first thing to do, is climb the hill and just look, its crazy. expect the unexpected.

only choose a few people you want to see, because i made this mistake the first day and wanted to see loads and missed half of them trying to get there, plus your'll miss the little things wot make glastonbury, so special.

i went with my brother and a couple mates last year, but i honestly think my best times more than anything was by myself wandering around, you meet so many different people, and everyone friendly plus you dont get that clash of o i want to see that lets go there, or i dont fancy that lets just go have a beer.

embrace, enjoy, and just go with it.
