Following an intense judging session at the Festival office in Glastonbury last week, we're pleased to reveal that our
longlist of 123 acts has been narrowed down to the eight who will compete in the Emerging Talent Competitions live finals at the beginning of April. They are, in alphabetical order:
Emily and the Wood,
Louise And The Pins,
J Treole,
My First Tooth,
My Tiger My Timing,
Treetop Flyers,
Tristram and
Twin Brother. You can hear all eight on the player below:
Said the judges: "The standard of acts on the ETC longlist really was very high - for which we have to thank the blogger judging panel. It certainly wasn't easy to whittle them down to just eight artists for the live finals. But, after much tea and heated debate, we think we've come up with a great selection of acts, all of whom have a real chance of winning the main stage slot at this year's Festival. Bring on the finals!"
The live finals take place in Pilton on Saturday, April 2nd. Although the event is invite-only, we will, once again, be streaming the entire show live via the official Glastonbury website.
Meanwhile, the full longlist of 123 acts has been forwarded to all of the Festival's stage programmers, so there is still a chance that some of them will end up with a booking.
