In your control panel, select "Edit Options", then "Default Thread Subscription Mode", if you select "No email notifications" from the drop down menu, it'll tun it off.
You can also select email notification on a thread by thread basis whether you've posted on it or not, this is handy if you want to keep an eye on one particular thread, have a look at the menus at the top of each thread for the various options.
I think this function is going to be decisive on whether I get a ticket or not.
Let's be honest, the moment they come on sale it's highly unlikely that it won't appear on here somewhere!
With my email linked to my phone, it tells me everytime something new comes up regardless of where I am so it's keeping me informed one way or another.
