we turned everything electric of in our house and played board games by candle light, it says to do it for an hour but I think we were all still sat playing games for about 3.

sorry to be a geek, but this is my industry and what they dont tell you is that this sort of action actually produces more CO2 then using electricity normally, just like all the CR!P about wind turbines, i wont bore any one with the techy stuff, i'm all for saving energy, i turn everything off in Bahrain where we dont even have to pay for the electricity but these green actions are nothing of the sort. still hope you had fun playing games in the dark - just hope your beer or wine stayed chilled

Maybe its the raising awareness that they are after. But yes we do have a giggle sat as a family in the dark so will prob still join in.
