Default Dance Village Thursday evening/night
Finally got my shifts, ticket, etc. This is what appears to be open on Thursday in the Dance Village:

In no particular order:
WOW Stage - 8pm to 3am (capacity 1205)
BBC Intro Stage - 8pm to 11pm (capacity 260)
Magic Bubble - 8pm to 3am (capacity 250)
Pussy Parlure - 6pm to 3am (capacity 500)

In addition, two silent discos, each with two channels of music, will be operating:
East Dance - 11pm to 4am (capacity 3150)
Cubehenge - 8pm to 4am (capacity 2200)

The silent discos will operate differently to previous years in that you will have to pay a deposit (£20) for the headphones (5000 are available) and you keep them for the duration of the event. It's not clear (yet) where you get the headphones from though!

Thursdays have often been a nightmare in Dance Village with too many punters trying to get in to too few, and too small, venues. Hopefully it will be a bit better this year with the silent discos operating.

Oh, and please don't have a go at me if the above turns out to be garbage - we never truly know who, what, where and when things are happening in Dance Village until we get there!!

Deposit on headphones seems daft if the silent disco is in an enclosed venue - just hand them back at the exit.
I know Joe Bananas did a silent disco last year and they asked for a deposit as you could basically wander arround the market and meeting place with the headphones on.

I guess you could hang on to them to get a quiet night's kip.

Cubehenge is not an enclosed venue and nor is East Tent during the day - it's been a real pain in the past for the crews to erect all the fencing around the East after the non-silent part has finished, leaving lots of punters outside patiently waiting for the silent disco to start. It was over an hour and a half the first time they did it a few years ago; they got it down to about 45 minutes but it's still a long time to hang around at 1am.

Will be interesting to see how well it works (and how widely they advertise about how and where to get the headphones from)
