Default cycling?
I have some friends who may be staying in a B&B offsite and they are think of commuting each dependent on the weather. interesting idea but fair enough. They are thinking of tackiling this commute via cycle, anybody accomplished this before? Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Ditto!

I've known people to cycle there and back, but I've never come across anyone who wanted to commute each day.

The only advice I can give (apart from scrapping the idea) is to use the property lock-ups to store their bikes when not riding them around the festival. The lock-ups are free (charity donation box) and can easily handle large objects such as bikes and trolleys. I use them for my trolley and have never had a problem.

Are they not planning to drink (or do anything else)? If the police spot them wobbling on their bikes on their way back the B&B, they're likely to get themselves nicked.

well, the idea is that they are going to pitch a couple of small tents near my family one and if they get to drunk they can stay in the tent (s). A bad glasto experience lots of mud, poor preparation etc has lead their lead member to consider this 'alternative'. but then glasto is not (just) about the bands, is it? Limiting yourself so you can avoid the 'long drops' and a shower each day seems to detract from the spontaniety of the experience. so ... and as we want to pitch in 'family only' area, I can't see this being allowed or desireable. Then again, it is that time to consider plans, alternatives and vain desires LOL.
