Default Crockery
Am staying in hired campervan. Does the no glass rule include crockery?

Not sure where that comes from, but I suspect they perhaps aren't sure of the definition of crockery.

Check with the hire company, most won;t actually include anything easily broken, if there are 'china' like plates I bet they are of the version that bounce rather than break. If the company is a reputable one which has sent vans to Glastonbury in the past they are unlikely to be including anything that would be at risk of confiscation or not being returned. Also, even standard campervan hire would usually prefer plastic/melanine crockery to china stuff.

I'll be taking a proper mug to drink out of! Also, if crockery is totally banned, how do the tiny tea tent get away with it??

Agreed, I think you'll be ok with crockery but would be silly to take any. Just take plastic camping type things and you'll be grand. Certainly whenever I've driven campervans in the past, stuff has always fallen out of the cupboards at first until we've got the hang of battening down the hatches!

I'm certainly not taking our ceramic mugs out of the van. Drinking that first cup of tea of the morning out of plastic is just plain wrong!

Thanks. Friends driving van down, so will get them to check with the company just to be on the safe side. Agree mugs a must for morning cuppa though.
