Crime and Pennard Hill

My buddy and I were planning on camping at Pennard Hill (assuming we get there on time). Someone's suggested to me however, that it has a bit of a crime problem; that peoples tents are more often burgled here than elsewhere, and that on occasions people have been robbed there when they were asleep in their tent.

Has anybody had any experience of this? Is there an association between crime and Pennard hill?

I can't say its common as I've only been once, but we did camp at Pennards and there was an incident with a guy having stuff nicked from his tent when he was asleep, but that could have been a one off.

Crime is apparently quite scarce these days there but there are still a few tea leaves around.
