Car Parking
Hi all,
Bit confused about the whole car parking situation, but i've been told your designated a gate (and car park area) based on the colour of your car park ticket? So am i right in assuming that because my car park ticket is Pink (pink border around the car park sticker) that i enter via the Pink Gate and park in one of the west car parks?
Or, can i park where ever, so i can park in one of the east car parks?

No, you can choose East or West, then you are directed to whichever carpark on that side of the festival they're currently filling up.

I've heard that but haven't seen anything official, we have a pink sticker too but won't be heading in the way, we'll be coming down the A303. Hope we don't end up there, we're meeting friends in the East car park!

Are you getting confused with the campervan tickets. They indicate West or East and specify on the front which route to take.

No i read it on a few other forums, people were saying that the colour of the car park ticket denotes which gate you go to, but i also read that you can park where ever as long as there is space.
GlastoWatch has cleared it up though

So were here and this is indeed correct. We wanted to go to east car park bit got directed to west with pink tkt. Currently enjoying cider in the sun. Happy days

Everyone's car park ticket is pink (normal tix). You would have been directed to West because they'll be the car parks they're filling up first. I imagine it's something to do with staffing levels. No point manning both sides with car park staff until more people start arriving.

Hi, I'm trying to find away in from the A37 (London), will we be able to get to the west car parks easy enough or will we get directed stright to the east car parks?

There was total confusion at the pub, everyone kept saying it was different this year and even the marshals at the car park didn't know what was going on, they had been told that the car parks weren't open until midnight and we had to go in the pink entrance.
As it turns out, the car park opened at 8pm and we were closer to where we wanted to be than we would have been if we ended up in the east car park.
At least we know for next year. Unless they change it
