I really want to make a flag but I'm not artistic in the slightest and don't have a clue how to go about it! Do you use a proper flag pole, and if not, then what?
we have a carbon fibre flag pole, it 15ft ( i think) cost a mate 20quid for last years glasto ( he not going this yr so we taking it ) the peace flags was got a few yrs back at glasto for 8quid i think, we now have a little wind mill stuck on the top cost 3quid from carbooty
we dont go anywhere near the front off the stages took our youngest last year right up front to see lyly allen ( her choice not mine) and she couldnt see alot so had to go back abit
were normaly sat right up by the oak tree
last year was SOOOO bad to see the stage or screens, got very silly. But as we were quiet a way up the hill we had lots of peps using r flag a refrence to meet other people
We normally stand/sit/collapse by the 3 bushes to the right of the Mixing desk as you look at the satge always go there every year as it has quick access to toilets and Mandela Bar.
I wanted to take a flag this year so people could find me or possibly so I could find my van more easily as they all look the same at 4am! Is there such a thing as a folding flagpole so when you get bored of carrying it around you can fold it up and put it in your bag? Looks like I'll have to buy one there now if i do though. Is there a lot of choice? I sort of missed the fact that there were stalls selling stuff last year til Sunday so didn't make many observations about what's there!
Also, and apologies for hijacking the flag thread, but I'm assuming I won't have any problems buying a waterproof poncho once I'm there. Been meaning to buy one all year.... I am knitting a rainbow themed one but that obviously will be about as waterproof as a sponge!
Most of the poles you buy are expandable and will go back to a size not too difficult to carry round. But as I cant even be bothered with that mine stays on the campervan and I use other peoples flags as landmarks.
