Camping Gas... how long does it last?

hi all, hope your preparations are going well, just need to buy gas and unsure on quatities. i have a single gas burner stove which we will be using for cooking breakfast and our evening meal. it takes 277g gas butane canisters. how many do people think i would need for the five days, im thinking five maybe one a day? cheers Iggybobs.

5 seems a bit excessive. 2 used to do us for a festival doing a fried breakfast, hot water and other occasional meals so I very much doubt you'll need more than 3.

Mine seem to last for a while - two usually does me for beans and noodles and all that for the week

we always take to many, think we have at least 10 for two single ring cookers, and for 6 may be more peeps.

but what we dont need will us somewhere else so niegh bother

There are Milletts and other camping supply shops in the markets. I'm sure they will be happy to supply you with gas.

Try GOOutdoors if you have one near buy. Although their discount card costs a fiver, you can get some decent deals!
