Default Campervan - West Parking.
Hi,
I booked the campervan ticket this morning and selected West as East had the hillof death i thought it might be better .

Am I correct in thinking that the West campervan park is families and children only ? It didn't say anything on the booking form but from a twitter it sounds like it is. Doesn anyone know for certain ?

This year West was for families and children only. They haven't announced anything for next year yet.

Cheers I'll hang fire making the call for now.

Do you know if the west is easier to access the festival from ? I suffer a bit with my back (getting old) and the hill of death didn't help things at the back end of the weekend...

According to the Glasto 2009 map it looks like West is for family campervans, however if they are now asking you to stipulate in advance then they ought to have pointed that out as you won't be the only person. Perhaps there will be changes to the west and east family campervan areas.

Also if anyone else is yet to book campervan ticket, west was a nightmare to get out of last year and all the smug campers going out of east car parks drove straight out. I'm sure this changes year to year.

Yes, West is much easier than East to access the festival from.

ah well I'll just wait and see if anything gets announced and call seetickets if I need to.

I was one of those smug drivers but I got up at 5am and got off site, the second driver slept a couple of extra hours and we swapped at the first services.

Probably do the same again this year - the noise of people and vans was enough to keep me awake as a lot moved off around 2-3pm then it was quiet....
