Bristol to Glastonbury, Tuesday evening.

Hello fellow Glasto peoples : ) I've got a question i'm hoping i can get help with so anything from you fine people would be amazing : ). I'm travelling down to Glastonbury from Scotland (flying) with a group of friends. Now they are all staying in Bristol the Tuesday night but i have another mate who is driving down by van & staying in the car parks on the Tuesday night. Does anyone know if its possible for me to get to Glastonbury & be allowed to meet up with my mate in the car park thats open to the early arrivals??

My guess (and that's all it is) is that they'll only let you into the carparks if you arrive in a car/van so best to meet your mate somewhere away from the site and then drive there together.

Thanks for your reply mate : ) Yeah its looking like thats gonna have to be the way. I was mayby gonna try find some sorta lift, taxi whatever. Just to be able to get to the site then take it from there would be okay. Providing stewards etc allow me to join up with my mate.

Why dont you ask him to pick you up from the Airport. Its not that out of the way.

I got a lift to glasto last year from bristol and got droped off on the tuesday, even though we knew that we were not suppose to be getting dropped off. All the security were quite relaxed about it and let us wait around untill the cars were let through to the carparks, and then we walked down to the gates and started queing, and slept in the que ready for weds morning.

So im guessing that if u get dropped off they will let you through to the cars. But i suppose it depends what security you bump into, some might be more strict with their rules.

Brilliant, thanks for that info mate sounds like it should mayby be okay then but as you say it depends on what the security people i bump into are like. I'm hoping they are filled with great Glasto spirit and say 'yeaaah mate, on you go, if your mates in the car park then thats fine' haha that would be my ideal scenario.
