Best time to leave on Wednesday from Essex

Me and a friend are coming down on Wednesday (first time at Glasto! whoop) and was wondering when to leave on Wednesday.. Either around 3pm or leave it till late.. We are meeting up down there with mates and a camper van...

Most of the major queues nowadays are before and in the hours following the gates opening at 8am on the Wednesday. If you're leaving Essex at 3 you won't be getting there until until about 7pm so the queues will have died down significantly. Most of the more popular camping fields will already be full but there will still be plenty of room in the fields to the West of the site. If you leave it much later you'll be looking for a campsite and putting your tent up in the dark which will be a major pain because the place is huge!!!

We are only parking up and staying in a mates camper van on the west site, so will try and get past the east carparks.

We even had a meeting at work today to finalise plans!!
