Elbow! Never heard note one from them before and they blew me away The lovely couple who picked me up out of the mud. The sweet (and slightly tiddly guy) who acted as a human crutch when I did a particularly athletic almost-fall. Coldplay, Jeremy Hardy. The whole of Saturday - One Day Like That a Year? You betcha.

Bad? The mud aggravating a just-about-healed foot injury which means I'm still walking round like a constipated duck. Would have been far worse without the on site medics though - who knew Glasto had a podiatrist on stand by? And the rain - waterproof trews and an anorak is SO not a good look for me ;p

First Glasto, but what a great experience it was! Definitely coming back in 2013!

BEST:
The Glasto Crowd!
Arcadia, especially during the DJ Set of Orbital!

Music:
Scubaroots - great performance on the bandstand!
The Naked And Famous
Miles Kane
Radiohead - nice experimental set!
U2 - Great to finally see them!
Elbow!!!
Coldplay - Much better than their performance two weeks earlier on Pinkpop!
Raghu Dixit
Queens of the Stone Age - closing the festival in style!

BAD:
The clashes!
Everything was soaked before we could even start to put up our tent...

Music
Pendulum - seen them three times before, this was their worst setlist. Where were Tarantula/Granite/Voodoo People/Fasten Your Seatbelts? Crowd didn't feel like moving/jumping/dancing either....
Tame Impala

My first Glasto and the best bits were
Brothers Bar Thursday night singing along to the music and having a group hug with our friends and our neighbours and having it swell to around 30 people...everyone singing along...in the mud...looking across the circle to my friends and having the biggest smile on my face
Mumford and Sons, it may have been pissing down, but it was amazing
Beyonce, was heading down to QOTSA but the neighbours roped me in to go see her and it was surprisingly awesome
Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, the dude signing along and dancing was awesome, who is he?
Sitting on the hill above the Park, whilst Pulp was on, in the sun, bliss
The people, to all the people that steadied me in the mud (and picked me up) thank you!

Bad bits,
Horrendous blisters that I still have
Using the longdrops when the rain is torrential and you're trying to keep your loo paper dry!
My camera dying before the aforementioned thursday night group hug :-(

Can't wait 2013!

Good man, gooner (that's coming from a yid ) I saw both of Matt Andersen's sets in Bourbon Street. Wednesday was brilliant, Thursday was even better. His version of People Get Ready with the crowd doing the backing vocals was unbelievable.

Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs were brilliant as always.
Sandi Thom was bloody good on Thursday evening, packed as well, they were controlling entry to that tent.
The Jam tent up by the park stage saw a brilliant rendition of Come Together by about 30 people.
Agreed about Guy Garvey, crowd was putty in his hand.
