Default Anyone got room in their campervan?!
In a total reversal of my situation last year, I am in need of space in someone's van. I only just got tickets in the re-sale on Sunday, much to my surprise, so didn't sort out a van. I have got a campervan ticket but no campervan! Tbh I was going to just pitch a tent next to one of my friends who do have vans (all old style VWs with no shower or toilet) but my little bro (who is a Glasto virgin) really wants a van. In his own words "I was humming after Leeds and don't want to go there again" !!!

So does anyone have space for me and my brother in their van? Preferably one with a shower and a toilet, otherwise we might as well just camp next to our friends. Obviously we'd pay our share. And I can drive, there and back if necessary as I did last year!

I am looking into getting a van but am not optimistic based on the calls I've made so far...

If I don't manage to get one, I won't mind too much because I'M GOING TO GLASTONBURY!!! Which after the disappointment of failing to get tickets in September is just too cool for words!

Sell your campervan ticket then just tent it. I camped last year and managed to have a wash every day, just need a water container to fill up or use a portable shower! Last year we ended up having a quick wash under the taps!

Well doesn't look like we can get a van now anyway so think I'll probably do that. Is it worth my keeping the van ticket so we can have extra room for our tent etc or not bother?

My friend had a solar shower which went on the top of the van and was really good provided you don't mind showering in public! I think either that or just a bucket, jug and a bikini will do the job!

I would rather go in a van but I'll be fine just camping, as long as I'm in the campervan fields. My only worry is that on the Sunday night year before last, every single chemical toilet in every single campervan field was FULL. I mean full, to the brim and past. It was really horrible. Apparently the poo lorry (two words you never say in any other context!) couldn't get round because everyone was leaving. But at least I had the toilet back in the van to use.

And it was nice to have a proper bed (ish) and cupboards. But my friend owns a campsite so has loads of gear we can borrow and I reckon we'll be able to make the tent pretty cosy. Let's just hope it doesn't rain and isn't too hot!

Oh f**k it, I don't care. Cos I'll be at Glastonbury!!!!

You won't be able to pitch your tent in the campervan field. Sorry. You maybe able put a small tent up next to a friends van but you can't have the space just for a tent.

Default Looking for a Van share
Hi guys,

I am in the same position in that my mates that got tickets are the married/kids variety and I am the only single one who got a ticket and van pass. Are you interested in trying to find and share a van? If so where do you guys live etc?

Cheers

Paul

Yeah I'm definitely up for it but the odds of finding a van at this late stage are tiny if the afternoon I spent on the phone trying to find one a couple of weeks ago are anything to go by. But if you can find something, that'd be brilliant. We're based in Bradford / Leeds area. We've both got driving licences.
